Plant pathogens cause tremendous losses in crop yield each year and frequently contaminate crops with toxins. Toxins have a massive impact on human and animal health.

In our department Molecular Phytopathology and Genetics we investigate plant-fungal interactions on a molecular, biochemical, and structural level.
An additional focus is on improving feedstock properties of plants.
